Call for Volunteers at the Memorial Health Championship Presented by LRS
Volunteer opportunities abound for those interested in taking part in the second annual Memorial Health Golf Championship presented by LRS this July at Panther Creek Country Club, July 11-17.
Tournament organizers need more than 500 volunteers to help with a variety of tasks before, during and after tournament week. Volunteers will make new friends and enjoy a behind-the-scenes view as the Korn Ferry Tour returns to central Illinois bringing some of the world’s up-and-coming golfers to compete.
“I enjoyed volunteering at the Memorial Health Championship as I had the pleasure of making new friends and seeing community members and friends I hadn’t seen for a while,” said Marjorie King, one of the many 2021 volunteers. “The positive environment and sense of community at the outing was a lovely pick-me-up for the week.”
Volunteers must be able to work a minimum of two shifts, which take place in four-hour blocks morning or afternoon. As a gesture of appreciation, the COUNTRY Financial Volunteer Program offers a free volunteer package that includes a volunteer T-shirt, volunteer credentials that grant free admission to the grounds all week plus breakfast and lunch on days worked.
For $40, volunteers can purchase an add-on package that includes the official volunteer uniform (polo and hat), volunteer credentials that grant free admission to the grounds all week, four good-any-day tickets for family and friends, breakfast and lunch on days worked and an invitation to the Volunteer Golf Outing at Panther Creek Country Club on August 1 (must work three shifts).
