Healthcare Workers and First Responders Honored at PGA Korn Ferry Tour with Free Admission

Healthcare workers and first responders will receive free entry to the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS and held at Panther Creek Country Club from July 15–18.

“This is a small way to show our appreciation and recognize the sacrifice and relentless dedication our healthcare workers and first responders showed our community throughout the COVID-19 global pandemic,” said Ed Curtis, Memorial Health System president and CEO. “We invite those who can attend to enjoy watching the talented golfers on the PGA Korn Ferry Tour.”

All healthcare workers and first responders are welcome, including staff from hospitals, clinical offices, pharmacies, long-term care and nursing homes as well as firefighters, police and paramedics. Upon registration, they will receive a free grounds pass.

Event attendees can park at Landmark Ford, 2401 Prairie Crossing Drive, Springfield. Complimentary air-conditioned buses will be available to shuttle all spectators to the event and back during all days of play.

Proceeds from the Memorial Health Championship will benefit the health system’s five hospital foundations based in Springfield, Decatur, Jacksonville, Taylorville and Lincoln. The foundations will reinvest the proceeds from the Memorial Championship directly into the five communities through patient assistance, educational grants for local healthcare professionals, public health initiatives and more.
