Memorial App Upgraded with Self-Scheduling Feature
This summer, the Memorial Health System app has been upgraded to include self-scheduling at select Memorial Physician Services clinics.
Patients can use the app to schedule their own appointments, no phone call needed, at the following Memorial Physician Services locations: Chatham, Koke Mill, North Dirksen, Petersburg and South Sixth. Self-Scheduling will be introduced at the other Memorial Physician Services locations in the future. Users can create a profile that also includes the ability to make appointments for their dependents. To make an appointment, users simply select their provider and the type of appointment they need, and then choose the time and date they prefer.
“Patients are beginning to expect the convenience of self-scheduling, whether it’s reserving a restaurant table or making a doctor’s appointment,” said Nick Nell, system director of Digital Innovation. “We wanted to create a very user-friendly approach that allows people to access their provider schedule at any time and make appointments whenever they’re thinking about it.”
The app is available for free from the Google and Apple app stores. It also allows users to access MemorialNow virtual care, as well as get in line at ExpressCare before leaving home with the “On My Way” feature.
