Where Are They Now? Harold Whitnall and His Third “Fight for Air Climb” This Weekend

Harold-WhitnallBack in March of 2014, we featured Harold Whitnall’s story. Harold’s lung had collapsed five times in the past 40 years, beginning when he was 25 years old. Diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Harold suffered on a daily basis with a severely limiting condition. Thankfully, pulmonary therapy gave him back his life.

We checked back in with Harold who plans to climb the 532 stairs again this Sunday in the “Fight for Air Climb” at the Wyndham Springfield City Centre. It takes him about 27 minutes.

“I won’t stop until I reach the top,” Harold said. “It’s pretty amazing, to know I can do that. I can go out and do just about anything. My wife and I are really enjoying life.”
